The Hoboken Teachers contract has been passed by the school board 4-3. This included 3 years of 4.3% raises in each year and a giveback on the medical co-pays on prescription drugs as well as two extra days. There were over 350 people in attendance for tonight's meeting from the teacher's Union to the group Hoboken Revolt who are concerned about taxes and the effect that passing this agreement would have on the future tax rates.It was not as wild as many expected as I think the Union knew they had the votes going in. Also, Captain Ramano stepped down from the board at the begining of the meeting as legal advice he recieved made him do so.
