6PM Update: Issue has been fixed. It was a coupler between the building and the water main that was broken.
This update just in from the Administration.....
WATER MAIN BREAK ON CLINTON STREET
According to United Water, there has been an 8" water main break on Clinton Street near 14th Street. United Water has throttled down the pressure in the main, and as a result, buildings on Clinton Street between 13th Street and 14th Street may experience lower water pressure. United Water is on the scene. To make repairs, the water main will be shut off, and residents are expected to be temporarily without water.
Residents needing water may bring a container to the water buffalo truck which has been ordered and will be parked near 13th Street and Clinton Street, or they may call Councilman Peter Cunningham at 201-562-7071 to request help with water delivery. Hoboken Police, the Office of Emergency Management, Environmental Services, and Councilmembers Carol Marsh and Peter Cunningham are on site to assist residents. Additional information will be posted to the City website (http://www.hobokennj.org/) as it becomes available.
