Keeping to the point that this blog just doesn't do Hoboken Politics, I am publishing this request from Stevens Instituate where students have takebn on the initiative to do a Southwest Hoboken Traffic and Safety Design Improvement Plan . I think this is a great idea that talented students such as Mike Manzella and Andrew Kaplan would take on this task and put ideas in the classroom to pragmatic use outside the classroom that could potentially benefit the citizens of Hoboken from a Public Safety perspective.
Here is the link to their survey they are requesting concerned citizens to take:

Hello Hoboken Journal,
We’re students at Stevens Institute of Technology working on a Senior Design project that is a Southwest Hoboken Traffic and Safety Design Improvement plan. As part of the project we are looking to survey residents, business owners and other stakeholders in southwest Hoboken to determine the importance of several different factors to the community. The responses given will be used to create an economic decision model to evaluate different design alternatives for the southwest. We are working closely with the city on this project, particularly with Dawn Zimmer, the councilwoman whose ward our study area is located in.
Would you be able to help us get the word out about the survey, perhaps with an article linking to our survey? It is located at http://sites.google.com/site/swhoboken/Home/survey.
Thank you,
Mike Manzella
