More Video: Fiscal Responsibility
Hoboken had its annual St. Patrick's Day Parade down Washington Street on Saturday. The sunny weather was a much needed reminder that spring time - AND BASEBALL - is right around the corner!
During the parade I met many local residents concerned about the challenges facing Hoboken. As our campaign continues, the number one issue around town is the unconscionable increase in our property taxes.
Today's video provides my views on my central campaign issue: fiscal responsibility.
If elected, I will be a champion for lower taxes and a smaller city budget.
I will also push for the transparency necessary to ensure smart budget decisions. The people of Hoboken need and deserve clear, accurate, and easily accessible budget information available on the city's website.
While Hoboken faces many challenges, let's not forget that America's strength is grounded in its optimism. While we must criticize corruption and ineptitude, we should all remain firmly confident that Hoboken can and will be better if we take action.
Sincerely,
Ravi
