Here are two photos from around 10 AM today of Washington Street. There was definitely some trash accumulated from yesterday's St. Patrick's Day festivities which is to be expected. By 10:30 AM many shop owners were seen outside sweeping up the remaining garbage that was strewn on the sidewalks from the parade outside their stores. Some sections of sidewalks were well cleaned up on Washington Street at the time I was out doing errands (10AM-11AM). There was also one man I spotted who was a municipal worker methodically cleaning up garbage between 4 and 5th Street at that time. He was doing a very thorough job.
I am sure that once all the shop owners open their stores and get out their brooms, Washington Street should be fairly well cleaned up. As far as the rest of the town, please comment below your observations or send an email to
kurt.gardiner@gmail.com with any of your favorite trashy pics.
