Zimmer Council Candidates Deliver Personal Request to Debate
On Saturday afternoon, Dawn Zimmer’s slate of Council Candidates, David Mello, Ravi Bhalla and Carol Marsh, personally delivered the attached letter to Raul Morales, Jr., Angel Alicea, and Vincent Addeo, requesting their participation in a public debate this week. Last week, Mr. Cammarano unilaterally denied a prior request without explanation, but Mr. Morales, Mr. Alicea and Mr. Addeo have yet to take any position on this issue.
“Since the City Council is the designated redevelopment agency of the City of Hoboken and will have substantial influence in the next four years on the growth of our town, we believe it is critical for the public to know the position of council candidates on this and many other issues impacting Hoboken. There have been three mayoral debates to date, but no city council debates. The public is entitled to hear the views of the council candidates before casting their vote on June 9th,” David Mello explained. “Why does Mr. Cammarano’s slate refuse to debate Dawn Zimmer’s slate? We are waiting for an answer.”
