Beth Mason Names Campaign Team

This way be old news to some since it was released on September 30th. This announcement comes from Beth Mason's communication consultant Thom Ammirato.....

HOBOKEN, NJ, September 30 – Second Ward Councilwoman and mayoral candidate Beth Mason today unveiled her campaign team for the city’s special mayoral election on November 3. David Carty and Ines Garcia-Keim will serve as Mason’s Campaign Co-Chairs and Ryan Yacco will be the Campaign Manager.

Carty, 45, is a Fifth Ward resident who has lived in Hoboken for 21 years with his wife Kim. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Colgate University and an MBA from New York University.

A former International Business Development Manager for a Fortune 100 company, Carty is now a proud stay-at-home dad who looks after the couple’s three children, while working part-time as a mortgage consultant and construction manager.

He has been actively involved in recreation programs for children — as a Little League baseball coach, a recreation league basketball and soccer coach as well as a Cub Scout Den Leader. Carty has also taught CCD classes at Saints Peter and Paul Church and served as a trustee and the treasurer of Stevens Cooperative School for the past seven years.

Carty says he is supporting Mason’s campaign because her business and government track records will be instrumental in leading Hoboken out of its financial crisis. “We need someone with experience, skill and determination to lead this city and I think the best person to do that is Beth Mason,” he said.

Garcia-Keim, 53, is a Second Ward resident and has lived in Hoboken for 24 years. She is a graduate of Barnard College and is married with two children. She is one of the founders and a former board member of the Hoboken Charter School and served on the city’s Rent Stabilization Board for eight years. Garcia-Keim serves on the boards of two non-profit organizations and has been an active voice for government reform in Hoboken.

Garcia-Keim says she is supporting Mason for mayor because: “Beth has the best combination of business experience and community activism success of any candidate for mayor.

“Beth has been a champion of open government and the citizens of Hoboken have benefited from her incredible dedication to governmental transparency. With Beth as mayor, Hoboken can be assured of being a leader in open, honest government that works for the people, not the politicians,” added Garcia-Keim.

Yacco is an experienced consultant and a veteran of several campaigns in Hoboken and throughout the area in state, county and municipal elections. Yacco will conduct day-to-day field operations for Mason’s campaign, including contact with community leaders.

Mason’s communication consultant will be Thom Ammirato and Paul Swibinski remains her media consultant and strategist.
