Here is an email I was copied on announcing a trun of the season kickoff event at the Hoboken Cove Boathouse....
Hi Folks! Very exciting news here!
This Saturday May 8th-if the weather behaves--a bunch of Hoboken Cove Boathouse volunteers will be paddling our new fleet of sit on top kayaks across river from our sister boathouse-The Downtown Boathouse-in Manhattan!
If the weather looks good-and it is not stormy or high winds-it would be nice to see a few folks on shore to crack open a bottle of bubbly or two!
Thanks to everyone that supported the boathouse to make this happen!
We should be arriving on the beach around 1:00 pm on Saturday.
The trip--and celebration-- will be postponed though-if the weather is not looking good.
Paddlers will be in wetsuits because the water is still quite chilly!
