Washington Street Water Main Break Update- Service restored!

Update 12pm: Service has been restored on Washington Street according to Hoboken City Hall.

Here is another update on the Washington Street Water main break:

WASHINGTON STREET WATER MAIN BREAK AND ASSISTANCE FOR RESIDENTS

A water main break has occurred near 12th and Washington Street. United Water is making repairs, however residents on Washington Street between 12th Street and 14th Street may be without water service today.

A water buffalo truck has been ordered and is located at 12th Street and Washington Street to provide drinkable water. Residents may bring their own container to the truck to collect water. Any resident needing assistance with getting water may call 201-420-2000 and a Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) volunteer member will come to their home to assist them.

Mayor Dawn Zimmer thanks United Water, the Hoboken Police Department, the Office of Emergency Management, and Environmental Services for their cooperation and quick response. ◦
