Hoboken BOE ready to Approve Toback's Contract Tonight at 7PM!

Mark Toback's contract for Hoboken Superintendent has been renegotiated and has been reviewed and approved by the County Executive Superintendent and is up for vote at tonight's BOE. Congratulations to the Hoboken BOE for what looks like to be a successful search for what appears to be a well qualified superintendent.  Walter Rusak is up for vote as the interim superintendent the the month of February.



Below are the key provisions for tonight's Hoboken BOE regularly scheduled meeting starting at 7pm at the Wallace School....

Mark Toback Superintendent contract approved under the Christie Administration guidelines and salary cap and up for final vote by board:

RESOLVED: the Hoboken Board of Education hereby approves a contract of employment with Dr. Mark Toback for the position of Superintendent of Schools, as reviewed and approved by the Department of Education as provided by law, with Dr. Toback to commence employment as soon as possible following his release from his current contract with the Sussex County Vocation-Technical School Board of Education.

Walter Rusak Temporary Superintendent through February 28 201:

RESOLVED: the Hoboken Board of Education hereby names Mr. Walter Rusak as

Acting Superintendent of Schools effective February 1, 2011, until Dr. Mark Toback assumes the position of Superintendent of Schools, but no later than February 28, 2011. Mr. Rusak will be paid a stipend of $125 per day for service in this position and will retain his responsibilities, salary and contractual language as Interim Assistant Superintendent of Schools.
