Here is an email I received this morning from Ravi Bhalla:The election this past Tuesday confirmed not only Hoboken's desire for change, but our ability to make it happen. Thanks to all of your hard work, support, and commitment, the Change That Works Slate received the highest number of overall votes, making Dawn Zimmer and her team the ONLY complete ticket in the race!
Even though we were outspent 5 to 1, our grassroots campaign excelled, proving nothing can outsmart or outperform a committed grassroots movement for real change.
But we are not there yet, and there is a lot to do before the runoff election on June 9th.
We need you in this final month more than ever. This is going to be a tough fight, but it is a fight we can and will win. With your help Dawn Zimmer will be the first female mayor of Hoboken and the only true reformer not associated with the broken politics of the last 16 years. This is a true break from the past, and with your continued support in these upcoming weeks, Dawn Zimmer and The Change That Works Slate will bring real change to Hoboken!
Here's what you can do in these final weeks:
- First, the last chance to register to vote is Tuesday, May 19th. If you, or anyone you know, are not registered please click here and fill out the form so you can vote in the run-off!
- As I stated earlier, this is truly a grassroots effort and any contribution you make will help inch us across the final finish line of this race.
- Zimmer Headquarters needs volunteers, and not just on June 9th, but all days leading up to Election Day. Please help us make calls to supporters, send mailers, and hit the streets to get our message heard throughout Hoboken.
- Again, thank you so much for all you have done. The election on May 12th renewed my faith that with your help, we can bring real change to Hoboken in the coming years.
Thank You!
Ravi S. Bhalla
