Another Break in the Wall- Community Meeting Tonight at Elks Club at 7PM

Meeting on 25 foot Noise Wall is here tonight at 7pm.

According to the Hoboken Reporter, NJ Transit said two weeks ago that it plans to place a 25-foot-high noise barrier on West 18th Street near the Hoboken/Weehawken border in order to shield residents from the emergency shaft for a train tunnel that is being built. They have already conducted a community meeting for Weehaken residnets and tonight is Hoboken's turn after the City Hall Tree lighting ceremony to hear the public's concerns and present the plan.

The Hoboken hearing will be held this Tuesday, Dec. 8, starting at 7 p.m at the Elks Lodge, 1005 Washington St., Hoboken.. It is planned that Mayor Dawn Zimmer will attend.
