13th Annual Secret Garden Tour, this Sunday 9 am - 4 pm

13th Annual Secret Garden Tour, this Sunday 9 am - 4 pm

A Washington Street Garden incorporates principles of traditional Japanese garden design.

One of the most anticipated events of the spring in Hoboken returns this weekend: The Annual Secret Garden Tour. In the 13th year, we have 13 gardens on the tour, including a stunning Japanese-style garden and another that evokes gardens of Marrakech, Morocco.

Tours leave from the Museum on the half-hour (more frequently if groups exceed capacity) on a first-come, first-served basis. Volunteers will lead groups through 12 of the gardens, and the 13th is a bonus stop. Allow about two and a half hours for the tour. Tours start at 9 am, the last tour leaves at 4 pm.

Advance-purchase tickets are $20, $25 day of the tour ($20 for Museum and Hoboken Garden Club members), and may be purchased at the Museum or several locations around town, including Baskets of Distinction at 1102 Washington St., Amanda's Restaurant at 908 Washington St., and Hudson Place Realty at 132 Washington St.

Come prepared! Bring sun protection, a light umbrella, and a camera, to capture images of these urban oases.
