Photos of the Day - Pier C Park Preview Photos and Bonus Video

Yesterday, The City of Hoboken provided a sneak tour of Pier C Park yesterday to members of the mainstream media as well as a few bloggers in town. Mayor Zimmer, Arch Liston, Leo Pellegrini, Juan Meli were just a few of the City Officials in attendance. Councilwoman Beth Mason and Councilman Lenz were also in attendance. The Park is still not ready for completion but is mostly done except for hand rails that have parts outside the USA.

The park will not be open by July 1st as suggested as a possibility in a Hoboken Patch article but the City is trying to expedite the completion of the park so that the whole summer will not be lost. I could not get a specific date so we will have to see. As a project manager by trade I think it was a big mistake for the City of Hoboken to communicate any date they couldn't meet regardless of the explanation and issues needed to bring this long anticipated Park's construction to closure.

I can tell you that whenever the park opens, it will be a great asset for the City of Hoboken as the photos below can attest....
