Flip Cup Guys Official Rules:

Teams consist of 6 players. At the start of each series, teams will be placed on opposing sides of their designated tables. The Flip Cup Guys will determine the amount of beverage to be poured into each cup at the start of each competition. The Flip Cup Guys will designate the side of the table that will start the race. Games begin with a gentleman’s tap (tap cups, down to the table, up to the mouth). Once the tap is completed, the relay race begins. Once a cup’s contents are finished, the player must place the cup mouth up on the edge of the table. The cup will be flipped from this position until it lands mouth down. Players cannot touch their cup until the previous player’s cup is 100% face down on the table. The remaining players will repeat the same process until all members have successfully flipped their cups. In the event that the last 2 cups land and settle at the same time, the game will is considered a do-over. The first team to successfully flip all of their cups wins the round. The first team to win 4 times will win the best of 7 series. Each player must flip each game and can only use one hand to flip cups. Players who spill or pour out excessive beverage from their cup will have to start over

Games begin with 6 16oz cups set up in pyramid formation (3-2-1) on an 8-foot table. The Flip Cup Guys will determine the amount of beverage to be poured into each cup at the start of each competition. To start the game, 1 player from each team simultaneously shoots their ball. Shots alternate between players until 1 ball lands in an opposing team’s cup. The first team to sink the ball will start the game. The hit cup remains on the table. Each player gets 1 shot per turn. Shots alternate between players. No player can shoot twice in a row. If 2 players hit cups back-to-back, those players each receive another turn. One re-rack is allowed per game (either a diamond, pyramid or vertical line). Re-racks must be announced at the beginning of the re-racking team’s turn. Any cup that is knocked over or falls off the table is removed from game play. Blowing and bouncing are not allowed. Swatting is only allowed if a ball bounces off the brim of a cup. If a player intentionally or unintentionally gets in the way of an opponent’s shot, one cup is removed from the table. Leaning is allowed, however, both feet must remain on the floor at all times. Redemption is allowed. Cups are set up in a triangle formation. If both players hit their opponent’s final cup, the game is over and there is no redemption. The first team to hit all of their opponent’s cups wins the game. If a player sinks a ball in a full cup that an opponent is holding, the game is over. ◦
