Second Ward incumbent Beth Mason is having her "Grand Opening" for her campaign HQ tomorrow Saturday March 19th 12pm-2pm. It should be a royal affair with a large crowd expected to show up and get their free gifts as an incentive to show up. Get there early to get your Mike Russo bobble head doll. Rumor has it that you pull a string and the bobble heads talk, saying things like "Zimmertinis", "Zimmerists", "$25 million debacle", "Hypocrisy", etc.Oh wait, Lane Bajardi news anchor for Hoboken 411 must have done the voice over. I think the phrase "politrickery" would have been a winner. Ha ha.
I am just kidding about the bobble head dolls. I do expect some non-supporters to at least walk by out of morbid curiosity. The only problem is they might get asked to sign a petition even if they don't live in the Second Ward. I wonder if the Hoboken Police will be there to protest why they aren't getting paid on time for their retro pay because it wasn't convenient for Council President Mason to stay late at the last City Council meeting? That scenario would certainly put a damper on the queen's regal affair!
