Restaurant/Bar Review RogosFor the first NFL game this weekend, a friend of mine of Viking descent (he roots for Minnesota) and I decided to check out Rogos to watch the game.

There are many TVs throughout the recently renovated establishment. I met with Ed the manager/owner and he said that the renovations were done over a year ago and that the bar has been in business for over 18 years. The crowd was mostly younger and in their 20's but there were a few grey hairs (Cowboys fans and myself included). This bar has a lot of space as it sports a backroom good for beer pong and a smaller upstairs which would be ideal for a private party. I wish I knew about it sooner since it would be ideal for any fantasy football owner who lives nearby. In fact, according to one waitress that works there things were very busy there during NFL Sundays until week 17 when most fantasy playoffs were over. They had a good crowd for the first game on Saturday.
I ordered the Grilled Chicken Sandwich and fries and I liked it. I have also had their wings on a previous visit and I like them as well.
Overall, this is a good friendly local place for football fans. It is a younger crowd but I guess that is me just feeling like father time. I found the staff to be attentive and friendly and the pub fare to be decent to good depending on what you order. If I decide to play fantasy football next year, this could be my home base on Sunday since it is just a few long strides from home. ◦
