New Blog about Hoboken Taxi Issues
Here is a new website on Hoboken's Taxi issues sent to me by reader "ezl" entitled Hoboken Taxi Complaints. It is a blogger site designed inform residents about Taxi rules and regulations as well as a place to lodge complaints or concerns:Like many in town, I have been incredibly frustrated by the state of the taxi services in town and also the lack of enforcement of the rules and regulations. My feeling is that so many folks are unaware of what the regulations actually are that most don't know their rights and feel that the current state of service is somehow within the bounds of the law.
To try to fill that gap I have started a blog on the topic at http://hobokentaxicomplaints.blogspot.com/.
On the site I've posted links to the municipal ordinances, recent activities by the city's Division of Taxi and Limousine Licensing, general rules and regulations and also the procedures to file complaints (happily, very straightforward).
I've also shared the site with Annette Chaparro, who heads Hoboken's Division of Taxi & Limousine Licensing so hopefully she can use it as a resource for communication, feedback, etc.
It would be great if you could share the site and its goal with your readers...the more eyes on this issue and the more voices demanding improvement the quicker we will have consistent, reliable service...
