Ryn Melberg on the Election

RYN MELBERG’S STATEMENT
ON ELECTION RESULTS

Ryn Melberg candidate for Hoboken Mayor released the following statement last night after the results were tabulated:

“Obviously, I am disappointed with tonight’s results. And I wish both Dawn and Peter well in the run-off.

I still think we can fix Hoboken.

Our financial situation requires a strategic approach to reducing our property taxes and a surgical approach to our budget process. Our corruption problem requires a real commitment to open, honest and accountable government. All of our citizens have a right to safe streets, drinking water and electricity. That’s why I ran for mayor this year.

I hope the new mayor will respond to these problems and begin the process of fixing our city.
Thank you to all the people who helped me and voted for me. I will not disappear: I will continue to work to improve our city.”
