Dawn Zimmer Congratulates Peter Cammarano- Press Release

DAWN ZIMMER CONGRATULATES MAYOR ELECT
PETER CAMMARANO
Councilwoman Dawn Zimmer today ended her Mayoral campaign by congratulating her opponent, Peter Cammarano, on his hard fought victory.

Zimmer said, “I congratulate Peter Cammarano for his victory. He worked tirelessly and campaigned effectively. While I know we will not always agree, I pledge to work cooperatively with him as we address the big challenges ahead."

Zimmer went on to say, “This has been a tough election that ended in a photo finish. Now, it is in the best interest of Hoboken that we move on to the task of governing our City."
Zimmer's at large Council slate were all elected this past Tuesday. Zimmer said, “I congratulate, Carol Marsh, Ravi Bhalla and David Mello for their victories. They have been great running-mates and now they will be terrific colleagues."

"My mayoral election campaign ended today, but the campaign to set a new direction for Hoboken has just begun," Zimmer went on to say.

Zimmer continued, "As a Councilwoman, I will continue to work to bring about the changes that we talked about in this campaign. These include restoring fiscal responsibility, reducing taxes, ending the use of abusive PILOTS and devising a different approach to development--one that begins with what the community wants."

"This remains a pivotal time in our City and I plan to be an active voice working with the new Mayor and my Council colleagues to shape its future," Zimmer concluded.

Carol Marsh, Ravi Bhalla and Dave Mello said, “We were proud to run with Dawn Zimmer and share her vision of lower taxes, fiscal responsibility and a better approach to development. We look forward to working with Mayor elect Cammarano, Dawn, and the rest of the City Council to bring about the changes Hoboken needs."
