My comment: When this establishment first opened up I was at first put off by the name "Mikie Squared" but then I found out the owner named it after himself and his son and then my grumblings were put to rest. Perhaps a name like the "Midtowner" would have been better suited for this place but what the hell do I know about running a bar, and who can argue with success. The place seems to be doing a pretty steady to high volume business in spite of the recession. The renovations inside were done very well when this bar changed ownership and name.
I have eaten there before and had a few drinks but not very recently. I found the food and service to be good and the sangria pitchers to hit the spot on a hot summer day. ◦
