Last night, by a unanimous decision of the City Council,
Toni Tomarazzo was appointed to the HUMC Board. I think this is a very good move on the part of the City Council and Toni will do a an excellent job. Regardless of what side of the political fence someone may be Toni is able to reach out to all parties, maintain diplomacy and objectivity. Thus, she is respected by all members of the Hoboken community. She is a dedicated and intelligent fiscal watchdog and besides her fine work at Hoboken Revolt, volunteers her time to other organizations in Hoboken. I am very happy for her and for the hospital to have such a reasonable and thoughtful asset to help the Hosptial out of their fiscal doldrums. Here is what Richard Tremitedi had to say last night as well:
"Toni is a great choice for the opening on the Municipal Hospital Authority Board. She is active at City Council meetings and at the Board of Education. She plays a key role in the Revolt movement and has done extentsive research in the area of PILOT's and bonding. Although I don't always agree with her opinions, she is highly qualified for this position and will represent the citizens of Hoboken well."
My Comment: Do treat my comments above as an editorial of support for Toni. It is not an article where I just report goings on. I try to always keep these disctinctions on this blog as much as practible.
