The Cake Boss 100 Year Celebration - Recap with Photos

Yesterday, a large crowd was in attendance for the celebration of Carlo's Bake Shop being in business for 100 years. Many dignitaries were in attendance including US Senator Bob Menendez, Lt. Governor KIm Gaudagno, Hoboken Mayor Dawn Zimmer, NJ Assemblyman Ruben Ramos, and Freeholder Anthony Romano.

Of course the main star of the event which ran from 10am - 2pm was Hoboken's very own "Cake Boss" Buddy Valestro who gave an emotional speech about how honored he is to have a street named after his family's business.

Here are some photos of the event:

A very large crowd showed up. It was bigger than a Hoboken tax revolt rally! :)

Man on stilts but no bearded lady spotted!

A Cannoli Eating Contest. Holy Diabetes Batman!

The "Buddy" Mobile. Carlo's Bakery Vespa.

Mayor Dawn Zimmer gives her remarks and encourages public transport.

US Senator Bob Menendez gives his version of the "Cake Boss Clap".

Happy 100 Year Anniversary  Carlo's!

Some waited over 1 hour and a half to get a piece of their cake and eat it too!

And finally, Da Cake from Da Cake Boss. This cake was huge!
