Rally Against BP Promotion in Hoboken - Rally in Jersey City June 10th

Walking home yesterday I spotted two gentlemen carrying signs to generate support for a "Rally against BP" on June 10, 2010 from 4PM-7PM in Jersey City. The rally will meet in front of the BP gas station at 14th Street and Erie Street in Jersey City. The men who I photographed were nice enough to stop and let me take pictures and give me some literature. BP has been taken a beating in the news as of late and from what I have been reading it is well deserved. Here is a chance to make a brief sojourn outside of Hoboken and get in touch with your inner activist!

These protesters are part of a group called The Move on Hudson Council. Here is their contact information:

Here is additional information on the rally:

RALLY AGAINST BP BAILOUT JUNE 10th 3PM-8PM HOLLAND TUNNEL (NJ EXIT)

The BP oil spill in the Gulf has claimed 11 human lives, destroyed the Gulf's ecosystem for years, ruined the livelihoods of thousands and continues to get worse. Yet BP will pay less than 1% of the cost, and US taxpayers will pay the rest, unless we act now.
We are planning a rally at the Holland Tunnel on Thursday 6/10 to demand that BP is held accountable for the DeepWater oil spill.
