Today is a holiday where America celebrates their independence. I would like to add that we who live in Hoboken should try to extend that to include Independence from outside political and developer forces. But alas, today is a day to set aside the politics of the moment, share in some patriotism (the sane kind that doesn't justify invading a country for its oil) and most importantly not blow off little Johnny's hand by letting him handle an M-80. Be safe out there people! A good number of people lose limbs every year on the 4th of July due to improper handling of fireworks.
Happy 4th of July. I will be at one of the Northern Piers to get video and pictures of the Fireworks display.
