All Hail Queen Beth- Beth Mason receives a hero's welcome!

Reader estevens put this clip in the comments from last night's City Council Meeting. I thought I would promote it to a post given the triumphant nature of Beth Mason's entrance to her new base. Power is likely fleeting for this woman as the Applied Buildings are more and more market rate every year. One person remarked at the 12 and Bloomfield block party last weekend, "if it was a spatula running against Beth Mason I would vote for the spatula!". True quote. Beth Mason certainly has the money and elections are uncertain outcomes but does she have any attribute that would get a serious contingent of good governance or reform voters? not in my humble opinion. In the meantime let her have her cake and eat it to and enjoy the vacuous applause, she earned it the politically hard way, by pandering.

Beth Mason's grand entrance reminded me of this funny spoof of Queen Elizabeth II of England and her history of playing to the crowds with her patented waves. Luckily for us self-anointing doesn't work in Hoboken and our public officials at least have to get elected. Enjoy!......
