HOBOKEN FIRE OFFICERS ASSOCIATION ENDORSES CAMMARANO FOR MAYOR
The Hoboken Fire Officers Association Local 1076 and Hoboken Fire Fighters Local1078 today endorsed Councilman Peter Cammarano for Mayor and Angel Alicea,Vincent Addeo and Raul Morales, II, for City Council at-large in the Tuesday, June 9th election.
“Peter Cammarano and his team have demonstrated their support to ensuring that Hoboken remains one of the safest communities in New Jersey,” said Anton Peskens,president of Local 1076 at a news conference on the steps of City Hall.
“It is my honor and privilege to endorse the Cammarano team for their commitment to the Department and to the public safety of the residents of Hoboken,” said Peskens. “Peter has shown great leadership on the City Council and has pledged to work with us to maintain and improve services throughout the community.”
“Public safety is the number one quality of life issue in our community and the men and women of our fire department have a time-honored tradition of putting their lives on the line every day to protect our residents,” Cammarano said. “I am honored to receive this endorsement and thank every member for their professionalism, bravery and loyalty.”
The Fire Officers and Fire Fighters endorsement comes less than a week after theHoboken Police Benevolent Association announced their support of Cammarano and his City Council team. “Hoboken is a safe community thanks to its dedicated fire and police departments and all of their employees,” Cammarano said. “We need to maintain staffing, training and equipment to allow these individuals to continue to perform their duties in the highest manner.” ◦
