It is time to stop fighting amongst ourselves so we can fight the problems that ail our city.
I am a long time resident of Hoboken, my husband and I are raising our children here. We have lived in this mile square city longer than anywhere else in our lives. Hoboken is our home and we care deeply about our community. The stakes are too high in this election for us to remain silent just because the mayoral candidate we supported in the first round is now out of the race.
After observing the way Peter Cammarano has conducted himself during this campaign, and especially after hearing the way he articulated his vision for Hoboken during the mayoral debates, there is no doubt in my mind that he has the judgment and skills necessary to lead Hoboken into the future.
I have great respect and admiration for all the candidates that have put aside their personal lives because they want to serve our community as elected officials. Some are personal friends, and I share their views on some issues. I do not agree with Peter on every issue. I am convinced, however that with Peter Cammarano as mayor, dissenting voices will not just be heard, but their opinions will be respected, taken seriously and will become part of the decision making process. Peter has pledged an open door policy and a hands-on approach to Hoboken’s challenges. He knows very well that he cannot do it alone and has reached out for my support and yours.
I am pleased that Vincent Addeo and Raul Morales II have become partners in the Cammarano campaign and see that as another sign that Peter has the ability to bring our city together. My support for them has not wavered and I am also supporting Angel Alicea for Council-at-Large.
Join me in electing the leadership Hoboken needs now. On June 9, elect Peter Cammarano for Mayor, Vinny Addeo, Raul Morales II and Angel Alicea to the City Council. Thank you for your consideration.
