Hoboken Loses Out When Peter Cammarano Bars His
Council Slate from Debating
Dear Friends:
It is with regret for the voters of Hoboken that I report the failure of Peter Cammarano to allow his City Council slate to debate the City Council slate of Dawn Zimmer. The choice of a City Council slate is among the most important choices a prospective Mayor will make. The Council passes a budget each year. The Council provides oversight on development. The Council passes Hoboken's ordinances or laws. It is critical that the candidates have an open debate on the issues now that there only six Council Candidates left for three open Council seats.
Simply put: If Peter Cammarano does not trust his City Council slate to debate, how can we trust Peter to be Hoboken's Mayor? If the Cammarano slate is not competent enough to represent themselves in a debate, how can they represent Hoboken if elected?A Video and a Challenge to DebateAbove is a picture of our team outside Cammarano headquarters before we hand-delivered a challenge to a debate.
Today we are releasing a video challenging the Cammarano City Council slate to debate our team.We hope that Peter Cammarano and his City Council slate will accept our challenge to a debate. This is an important election for Hoboken. The public certainly deserves a debate on issues that will come before the Council over the next four years!
Sincerely,
Ravi Bhalla
City Council Candidate
