Hoboken Journal Scoop - Chicken Factory Open for Business

The Chicken Factory is now open for business. Last night I stopped by on my way home to check out Hoboken's latest eatery to open up. The Chicken Factory has just a limited menu this week of wings, drumsticks, wings and drumsticks and whole chicken. There are only two flavors: soy garlic and sweet spicy.

I spoke with the manager and the full menu and delivery should be available next week. The eatery still does not have seating and the manager said it has taken over a year to open the establishment. They still need permits and approvals before they can have inside seating. I recall DiNapolis Pizza uptown opening to a similar situation.

I spoke with several Hobokenites that are excited to finally have a Korean food option in town in a convenient location like Washington Street.

Store Name: Chicken Factory
Type: Eatery, Chicken, Korean
Address: 529 Washington Street, Hoboken NJ

The Soy Garlic Wings were really good. I got them to go. Hmm tasty.

One of these days Hoboken should host a chicken wing competition / festival.
I think the best ones I ever ate in town were from Oddfellows but that was a few years ago.

Nah, our wings are ok, our neighbors have great wings though
I gotta say, while I enjoyed the Chicken Factory wings, I didn't enjoy the price tag.

$12.50 for 10 wings in what tasted like spicy General Tso's sauce, a tub of smelly cubes of... (What the hell is that anyway, ginger?) and a coke. Keep the coke, keep the smelly cubes and charge me 8 bucks and you got a deal.

I'll stick to Giovanni's 14 wings for $10, thanks.

I didn't eat the cubes either. I wasn't sure what they were.

Pickled turnips. Sounds nasty but they do a far better job of eliminating the heat from the spicy sauce on the chicken than just about anything else you can put in your mouth. Word of warning: If you take that stuff home then take the trash out to the trash shoot as soon as you are done. Pickled turnips stink to high heaven if you toss them in the trash can and leave them there til morning.

Any idea how many drumsticks you get w/ a large order?
Yeah, the turnips look a little dicey.

You say that now. Get a bite of chicken that is a wee bit to hot for your taste buds and you will toss one in your mouth and be a true believer.

I'll try this place soon & give you my verdict. I am sure it is no Momofuku but I bet it is still great.
I look forward to it. What's the word on the street about Giovanni's wings? My current go-to for wings is Joey's BBQ.
Hey R.G.! "...plucky...."? You should get this year's "Pullet Surprise" for puns for that one!

Well, I was in the mood for some Seoul food so I crossed the road and tried this out today. I agree with cheeseho12: I didn't think the prices were cheap, cheap, cheap but I only ordered the garlic soy wings so my complaint may not have a leg to stand on. However, don't cry foul because the way they batter them is a hit and the radishes couldn't be beet. Also, a soda is included in the price so you you don't have to pay an extra buck-fifty a pop. The chicken meal looked corny, but I'll keep you abreast of when I try the whole chicken. I hear the drumsticks can't be beat either. I wonder what else they might have in store in the future!

Tired the drumsticks and have to say they were very good. My only problem is the spicy drumsticks weren't hot enough. I like my spicy korean fried chicken to be so hot that if you don't wash your hands good, your skin tingles after a while. But I am a sadist when it comes to spicy buffalo wings too. My theory is the hotter the fire in your mouth from the wings, the more beer you need to cool it down.

But this is a winner and I'll order again.
A-MAZ-ING! We've been Boom Boom lovers for years, but it's not at all convenient. So we've been resolved to eating Bon Chon and Kyo Chon, both of which are very good. But tonight, as we bit into our first drumsticks, we knew that even Boom Boom couldn't compare to this succulent, perfectly spiced chicken.

My husband and I shared the large wings/drumsticks, and as we approached the last of the chicken, we both agreed we could eat another whole large order. Of course, we didn't, but we could have...and that's the point.

Seriously thanking the Universe for bringing Chicken(s) Factory to our 'hood!!!

PROS:
Best KFC EVER!
Great pricing!
Perfect amount of spice on the spicy (at Kyo Chon we cannot enjoy the meal it's so hot!)
HUGE, MEATY wings and drumsticks!

CONS:
We only got one order!!
Assignment and essay writing are composed and imposed for the substantial and interesting linkages. It is very necessary and essential. The skills are applied for the detailed and formulated.
