Update: Timothy Occhipinti's New Pet Store HQ Grand Opening Tomorrow

Update 9/24/2010: Timothy Occhipinti will have his HQ kickoff on Saturday, September 25th at 11am. The location is at 56 Monroe at the intersection of Observer Highway and used to be a fish and pet store. I hope they got the smell of kitty litter out of that place before Timmy's big kickoff.

Here is his note on his campaign website:

Hoboken Fourth Ward Council Member Candidate Tim Occhipinti

Announces the Opening of Campaign Headquarters

Dear friends,

Please join us as we kick off our campaign for the 4th Ward City Council seat by opening our campaign headquarters this Saturday, September 25th at 11am at 56 Monroe Street. Meet our campaign team and your neighbors and friends who believe it’s time for an independent spirit in the 4th Ward.

I hope you can stop by and say hello, have a cup of coffee and munchkin and find out how you can join our effort. I appreciate all the support you have shown so far and look forward to seeing you this Saturday!

Sincerely,
Tim Occhipinti
4th Ward Council Candidate

Important Note: Tim's Campaign Website has Timmy's stance on the issues as seen below..

Having an HQ is nice, and support from the old guard with the usual cadre of suspects like Maurice Fitzgibbons, Perry Belfiore, Frank Raia, and such but now is time to find out what Timothy stands for, or maybe not. An "independent spirit" with no platform is mearly an empty platitude. Time will tell if he steps up to the plate and talks the issues.

Original Post 9/19/2010: 4th Ward candidate Timothy Occhipiniti has his headquarters set and will be having the grand opening next weekend on Saturday. There was some activity there yesterday with jut one campaign worker there when I stopped by in the early afternoon. Some trash was put out last night as well. Mike Lenz according to my sources has not yet located a Headquarters for his campaign.

Former Hoboken Fish and Pets Store now Timmy's campaign HQ for the 4th Ward

Timmy O.'s HQ on Saturday night-  Generating trash already!

Former Freeholder Maurice Fitzgibbons: " I spoke with Joe Del Priore and Mike Novak - the only other two people high up on this campaign...." in the 9/19/10 Hoboken Reporter.

The old Cammarano crew working on plan B with their new pet shop boy, while old pet Peter Cammarano is scheduled to go to Federal prison tomorrow.
Is this the sme Joe del Prioore who posted this garbage at Patch on May 15th of this year in response to an article written by HobokenMommy about raising children in Hoboken? If memory serves me, she lives in the 4th Ward.

"You’re living in an overpriced, cramped apt. with a cranky washer and cranky neighbors, when you could be in your own house making your own rules. You will have to send your child to an expensive private school because the Hudson County public schools are below standards. Had you stayed in the burbs that wouldn’t be necessary because of the higher quality of public schools. Financially it makes no sense for you to stay in Hoboken. You can easily drive there for events from your home. Now that she’s going on three you can take her to the park in the burbs & meet other mothers. Most disturbing is your comment about being quickly bored out there. That comment reflects directly on your marriage. Your life should revolve around your partner. Everyone and everything else is supplementary. It sounds like being within walking distance to places is not really the problem here. Confining your friendship to other mommies is doing yourself a disservice." http://hobokenmommy.com/2010/04/neighbors-in-hobo...
So what, exactly, is this neanderthal ex frat boy (love the quote) doing heading up TIMMAY'S campaign? Is TIMMAY just a short timer until he gets some rug rats of his own and then he's out of here? TIMMAY, are you really taking advice from this guy? Is this how you plan to win over the many new mothers in the 4th Ward?
Found this interesting quote from TIMMAY in the Patch article that Tim Carroll wrote earlier - about the same time as the screed from his campaign manager appeared advising Hoboken Mommy to move out of town with her children. " Before moving to Hoboken, Occhipinti spent nearly 10 years in Hudson County living along Boulevard East, but has made Hoboken his adopted home town. "I look forward to the day I can settle down and raise a family here." http://hoboken.patch.com/articles/occhipintis-opp...
Irony, love it.
here's the best part of that story: "Occhipinti was in charge of attending council meetings and taking notes to report back to the mayor."

So was he a puppet, a pawn or a soldier?

Reporting for duty boss Pete.

Wonder if Tim will be in mourning tomorrow as their leader heads to jail in the am?
The must be sorry they didn't Muzzle Maurice. But then again how can you stop a kingmaker like him?
Tim would be nothing without him.
