Ms. Rachel Grygiel named Distinguished Secondary Teacher by Princeton University

More good news coming out of Hoboken High School. I know Rachel and think she is a very dedicated member of Hoboken's School system. She truly deserves this honor in my humble opinion. She is one of many reasons for parents to consider sending their children to Hoboken High School.

Ms. Rachel Grygiel named Distinguished Secondary Teacher by Princeton University

HHS teacher Rachel Grygiel has been selected as a Distinguished Secondary Teacher by Princeton University’s Program in Teacher Preparation. She is one of only a handful of winners selected from dozens of nominations from public and private schools from around the state. Earlier this year Ms. Grygiel was named one of ten finalists and was studied for a day by a representative from Princeton University. Her classes were observed and her students and colleagues were interviewed in order for Princeton to gain a complete understanding of her impact as a teacher. Princeton has honored secondary school teachers since 1959. The University received an anonymous gift from an alumnus to establish the program. Each Distinguished Teacher will receive $5,000 as well as $3,000 for his or her school library.
