Update 1/15/2009: Last years problems have been duly noted by this editor. To show the more positive aspects of St. Patrick's Day Parade in Hoboken,  I figured I would include this 10 minute clip I put together of the parade from last year (2009):



Update 1/13/2010: Here is a reader poll on Hoboken St. Patrick's day on whether or not we should even have a parade, keep it as is, or move it to another day. There are a lot of people that I know that do not like idea of the parade to continue as it has on the first Saturday of March. Vote and let your opinion be known below in the poll and comments.....

Last night at the Hoboken City Council meeting, Councilman Nino Giacchi indicated that the Hoboken St. Patrick's Day Parade is scheduled to be held on Saturday March 6th 2010. Here is a shot of an overstuffed balcony from the 2009 parade that is representative of the main problem of Hoboken St. Patrick's Day in my opinion, wild house parties. ◦
