Here is a thank you message from Dawn Zimmer on her recent electoral victory:
Dear Friends,
Thank you all so much for the amazing victory that we achieved together.
I was "cautiously optimistic" on Election Day, and I still cannot believe that we won every ward in the City.
Every other election for me has involved counting absentee ballots at the County, and I am quite pleased that our wide margin of victory prevented any need for that!
The sea of green on election day was amazing! Money absolutely cannot buy the incredible dedication and commitment that all of you gave in order for us to win this election.
Thanks again to all the people who donated time they did not really have and money they really couldn't afford, all because they care about our City so much.Our initiative for change has already achieved victories that seemed unimaginable just a few years ago. Having seen the selfless commitment that so many of you have shown to our City, I KNOW we can succeed in making the changes that Hoboken needs.
I simply cannot thank you enough for volunteering your time and making an investment in Hoboken's future.
We are planning a public ceremony for some time next week so that we can celebrate together as a community, and will send an email update soon.As we all know, Hoboken faces many challenges, but I give you my word that I will work my hardest to address the issues facing our City.
I look forward to continuing to work together to create positive change for our town.
