I was online trying to find a good introduction to why looking into monitoring and potential automation of sewer systems could be a key strategy for alleviating Hoboken's flooding problems in a cost effective way. I thought this introduction presented the overview of the automation approach in lay person's terms that many could understand. This first chapter doesn't go into any real detail but gives an overview as to why automation is the preffered course of action.
The book, Sewer Management Systems by Thomas J. Day is from Wiley Publishing who has their HQ in our very own Hoboken, NJ. Wiley has lots of smart books for sale from some very smart people. Most of my advanced math textbooks came from Wiley during my college years.
