The turnout last night was GREAT. We raised over $1800. "G" and his family really appreciated it! I have the boxes for donation in ODs for the rest of the week. The wife is a size Med top, and 9 jeans. G is like a 4XLT ( he is about 6'3" so tlal sizes would be best), and the daughter is 2, so anything for her would be great.
They also need misc. items, just around the house stuff, anything really.
Thanks to everyone that participated, what a great success in a short amount of time!

Original post 1/12/2010: Here is a fundraiser that was brought to my attention for a gentleman named Glenn aka "G" who is a family man that recently lost everything in a fire. Here is the email from a friend.....
On Saturday the bouncer at ODs, Glenn aka "G", and his wife and baby daughter had much of what they had taken from them in a fire. It is a really awful thing to happen to anyone, especially when a little child is involved.
O'Donoghues is having a fundraiser tomorrow night, Tuesday at 7PM. I know it is short notice, but we need to help him quickly. Hoboken really pulled together when McSwiggins burnt down and had a great turnout, we are hoping to do the same for Glenn.
It will be at O'Donoghues at 7pm, they will be doing $2 pints and $8 pitchers, and Janine will be walking around with a collection bucket.
Even if you can just stop by and make a donation that would be great.
