There were skeptics that said a light rail system would never work. The NJ Transit light rail system from what I can tell has been a tremendous success as it provides tranport for those on the west side of Hoboken who didn't have it before as well as other cities in New Jersey that are now linked up to the Lackawanna train station. For someone like me who does not have a car, it is a great asset when I want to get out of Hoboken but not stray too far. ◦
