Timothy Occhipinti has launched his campaign for Hoboken’s 4th Ward City Council at an event held last night Thursday, June 17th at Northern Soul located at 557 1st Street, Hoboken, NJ.
The special election is coming in November with the 4-year term coming up in May 2011. Mike Lenz is the other announced candidate to be running for the seat and is currently on the City Council by appointment after Dawn Zimmer vacated her seat to become Mayor after the Peter Cammarano debacle. Timothy Occhipinti supported Cammarano in his brief run up as Mayor for a month yet is now framing his run as an Independent. Tim has been spotted a lot lately with former Freeholder Maurice Fitzgibbons at City Council meetings.
