The Hoboken Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the continued expansion of its Board of Directors, overall Membership, and Chamber programming.
On July 6th, the Board elected the following 5 new members: Norma DeRuggierio (Broker/Manager, DeRuggiero Realtors); Spiros Hatiras (CEO, Hoboken University Medical Center); restaurantor David Jacey (Owner, Black Bear, Whiskey and Bahama Mama); Richard Mackiewicz, Esq.; and Adam Kilpatrick (VP, Club H Fitness)
As a long standing leader of the Hoboken Bar and Restaurant community, new Board Member Jacey looks forward to helping the Board. "Working together with a full cross section of Hoboken business types creates a great partnership. Retailers like myself can learn a lot from the professional and institutional leaders, and we can help them in significant ways in reverse."
HUMC CEO Hatiras wants to help the Board continue to grow the Chamber. "The Hospital and other institutions in Hoboken rely on each other and the greater business community. We are grateful to be Norma DeRuggiero was delighted, "The Chamber has placed much confidence in me, and in DeRuggiero Realtors in general. This is well worth my time as this is a worthwhile business and community oriented group."
"The Chamber is being revitalized more quickly than we imagined", says Environmental Engineer Michael Novak (President, Atlantic Environmental Solutions), who joined the Board in March, "Hoboken businesses have been embracing the value we've been providing to entrepreneurs, start-ups, and established corporations and institutions. We believe the City of Hoboken is more vibrant with a stronger Chamber of Commerce."
Membership Chair Greg Dell'Aquila (President of Hoboken Business Center), who also joined the Board in March, clarified that "overall, Chamber membership has doubled in the last 6 months, and we are hosting a significant event each month to provide value to new members."
