PBA Protest Photo and Video Highlights

Last night several hundred people descended upon Hoboken's City Hall starting around 5PM consisting of mainly police officers, a good deal of which were bused in from outside of Hoboken. Some citizens were also present but based on my sources were either from the projects or Marine View.

It should be noted that the protest had a political tone to it with chants such as "vote out Lenz" and "recall Zimmer" but I suppose that is not surprising given PBA President Vince Lombardi's previous statements, endorsement of soon to be incarcerated Peter Cammarano and the extensive use of PR smear merchant Paul Swibinski. Paul was spotted with a Cheshire cat grin of a man who has been separating Hoboken policemen from their money. Cha ching! Money in the bank for "Swibo". I need to change careers, this guy is raking it in. :)

According to several source talks did occur today with the Administration and the Police Union but the only detail I was able to get was that no real progress has been made as of yet.

And some photos of the event as well:

Charter Buses were used to pump up the crowd size for the protest with police from outside Hoboken.

The demonstration at peak .

Political operative Matt Calicchio distributing the t-shirts.

The "Union Rat" got cheers every time it drove by. Chief Falco had closed off parking  parking the area
earlier with his announcement to preserve the public safety but the big old rat found a parking spot anyway.
I spoke to the chief briefly and he was cordial and stressed that both sides had
to keep communicating. He did not get into specifics and I did not expect him to.

"Stop the Police Layoffs".

The crowd at 6:05pm.

Crowd had started to thin out as people headed inside well before 7pm.

4th Ward Candidate Timothy Occhipiniti trying to capitalize on his pro-police stance with an
election looming right around the corner.

PR "Mastermind" Paul Swibinski showed up to see his handiwork.

Timothy Occhipiniti stratigizing with Paul Swibinski, or just a friendly hello?

The crowd at 6:20PM.
