Pier C Park now Partially Open!

Finally, the Mayor Roberts inspired $20 million dollar park shaped like a kidney or a fetus is open after 10 years of planning and stalling.....

Perhaps a little snark from this editor is apparent but the City of Hoboken needs to still work on it's project management skill set.

Still, this park will be a great asset to Hoboken's water front. I thought it was a very nice park when I got a sneak preview this summer. The views are spectacular!

CITY OF HOBOKEN ANNOUNCES PARTIAL OPENING OF PIER C PARK TO PUBLIC

The City of Hoboken is partially opening Pier C park to the public. The promenade and lawn areas will be open, while the playground areas in the middle, which are not complete, are closed off with fencing.

“I welcome everyone to come out and enjoy our newest park,” said Mayor Dawn Zimmer. “The park’s nighttime lighting is impressive, and we invite residents to take an evening stroll.”

The City received approval for the partial opening from state inspectors and the City’s insurance company. The park will be open daily from 8 am to 10 pm.
