This is a continuation of the retro ad series I started yesterday. These ads are from local newspapers from January 1957. This ad cracks me up a bit. I wonder if Anne's periodic pain, if it were to exist today comes more from reading the garbage that passes for political commentary on Hoboken 411 than anything menstrual. The wording on these ads just wouldn't fly today. Women, feel free to comment below if Midol is or is not the silver bullet they claim it is to relieve this "wretched periodic pain".
