For some inexplicable reason I have had handbags on the brain lately and it is not due to some sudden urge for a cross-dressing fetish. :) This $3.99 gem known as "The Italian Deb Barrel" looks like it could hold enough makeup to satisfy the make-up needs of Tammy-Faye Baker and double as a weapon from any would be mugger. I wonder how many Hoboken moms bought these back in the day.
From what seems to be solid construction and a price the seems reasonable for this time period, I wonder how much of a sales hit this item was. These days a good real Gucci can cost women more than $1,000. Time to get women more wage equality so they can buy the quality handbags they deserve! You've come a long way ladies but still.......... ◦
