On another website in Hoboken today it was erroneously reported that the Mayor's vehicle was illegally parked on 7th and Monroe Street last night. I was able to confirm from two sources within the Administration that the car was not exclusively the Mayor's but it is indeed a City vehicle that is shared.
One of the sources Juan Melli gave me a quote:
"As opposed to past Administrations that had multiple vehicles, the City now has just one shared vehicle for use by all directors, the Mayor's office and the Business Administrator. The vehicle used by the prior Public Safety Director was returned to the Fire Department for their use. In this particular instance, Public Safety Director Alicea, who is on call and responds to situations 24/7, was using the vehicle in order to respond to emergency situations that may arise."
Additionally, the whole street is yellow because it is a school zone and since school is not in session it is perfectly legal to park there this time of year like all the other cars were doing.
Whether it was a lie or a mistake the website that reported this false story on two counts needs to drop the anti-Zimmer Jihad agenda, hone in on their fact finding skills and rely less on the fact that they have a press pass to defend their credibility.
