Bob Menendez Celebrates Social Security's 75th Year at Hoboken Multi-Service Center August 12th

Senator Robert Menendez to Join Advocates and Seniors
to Celebrate the 75th Anniversary of Social Security

On Thursday, August 12, 2010 at 10:30am New Jersey Citizen Action, state advocates and local residents will hold a press conference highlighting the 75th Anniversary of Social Security.

Advocates will be joined by Senator Robert Menendez and local dignitaries. The group will release a new study that shows how much Social Security has benefited the residents of New Jersey. The report analyzes the benefits of Social Security on the state including the amount of money paid out in benefits; the number and type of people receiving benefits; and the percentage of residents receiving benefits. The press conference will be held at the Hoboken Multi Service Center 124 Grand Street Hoboken, NJ.

The event will be part of over 100 events taking place across the country during the month of August to celebrate the 75th Anniversary of Social Security.
