As you already may know, the Hoboken School Board has canceled 2010 fall semester for Adult Evening Division. Photographer and Designer Jean-Paul Picard, who has taught at the adult program for over 20 years, is now offering courses in both photography and web design at his studio located in the Neumann Leather Building, Hoboken. It’s just several blocks from Path and Lightrail. Also, several NJ Transit Bus Stops are just a block away.

The classes and schedule are as follow:

Basic Digital Photography: $240.00
8 sessions, 1.5 hour duration, 6 person limit.

Using your digital camera, learn the basics art of photography and composition. Learn how to use the camera settings, aperture, shutter speed, ISO etc, to make the correct exposure. Understand lighting and flash techniques. Photographic printing of digital files using post production methods will be covered. History of photography and the silver base wet process will be discussed.

Web Design and Coding with HTML: $240.00
8 sessions, 1.5 hour duration, 6 person limit.

Using your laptop, learn the basics to create web pages with HTML, the building blocks of the internet. HTML can be written on any computer with a text writing program. Learn about how to work with photographs and graphic and place them on the page. This course will include an overview of the World Wide Web, setting up your personal site, search engines, using internet service providers (ISP) and more.
