Kids First BOE Slate Kickoff Party Sunday March 13th from 2-4pm

Coming this Sunday, March 13th from 2-4pm is the Kids First Kickoff Party at the Turtle Club. Come meet the slate that includes incumbent and "entrenched public school mom" Jean Marie Mitchell, Steve Feinstein who has a solid reputation and service record on school issues and a child attending Hoboken High School,  and Clifford Godfrey an active community volunteer who wants his one year old child to attend the public schools.

It was just announced yesterday that Kid's First has cut the municipal levy as much as they can under state law so now is the time to see this team continue the legacy by working on the curriculum now that the schools have been brought to the point of more operational efficiency.

My Comment: If all 9 candidates stay in the race that were announced yesterday, this bodes well for this slate since the other candidates will likely take more votes away from each other. Maureen Sullivan curiously declined to produce her own sponsored ticket this time around. I guess it is hard to run on a platform of cutting the budget when the municipal levy has been cut to the max under state law.

Question: Will Beth Mason through her proxy Ricky support the candidacy of Carmelo Garcia and his slate should he be able to build one?  Stay tuned for possible last minute donations like last time.
