Beth Mason on Launching of Final Phase of Hoboken's Waterfront Walkway

Here is another mass email update from Beth Mason on the Waterfront Walkway:

Dear Friend,

I am excited to announce that earlier this week I joined Hudson County officials for the groundbreaking of the final phase of Hoboken’s waterfront walkway. In addition to the walkway this space will also include a kayak and canoe launch.

The $3.1 million project will be covered by federal aid and county grants, which includes $2.55 million from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act and $515,000 from the Hudson County Open Space Trust Fund.

Currently this space is desolate and undeveloped, but it will be transformed into a walkway that is the final phase necessary to connect Hoboken, Weehawken, Jersey City, North Bergen, and Guttenberg along our waterfront.

When I was first elected in 2007 this was one of the many goals we set together and now we are six months away from making it a reality. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank you for continuing to work with me to make Hoboken a better place to live and raise a family.

I look forward to seeing you soon. As always feel free to contact me at (201)-916-8244 or Beth@MasonCityCouncil.org.

Thank you for your time.

If it's any day; we can see a letter from Beth "Russo" Mason. Like Obama she cannot go a day without saying something; no matter how idiotic!

Gosh, thanks, Beth. I guess the Mayor and her administration had nothing to do with this. Thank you, Beth.

(Wait a second, didn't Mayor Zimmer and Mayor Turner say a few words at the groundbreaking ceremony? Yeah, I think they did. I don't recall whether you had anything to say at the ceremony. Guess you were saving it for this press release. Good job!)

Looks like a pre-election mailer dont you think?
Great, a canoe launch. We really need a canoe launch. Can we load Mason up in a canoe and send her downstream so she can inflict herself on the residents of some other community?

Every inch of the state mandated waterfront walkway is a reality due to the hard work of community activist visionaries like Helen Manogue and others, whose only ambition was a better quality of life for all of us, not the work of Mrs. Mason and her "had I been present at the creation" style of screeds. If she wishes to take credit for the good things that occur, she must be prepared to take the blame for the bad things in our city, starting with the fact that she has never begun performing the duties of 2nd ward councilman.
