The weather outside has been treacherous.....
I spotted a co-worker of mine this morning and I asked her how the walk to work was. She said she had no problem and mentioned she has Wintertrax which is like a car snow chain for human feet! She swears by them but I will caution the consumer that since they are promoted by "As Seen on TV" I am not sure as to the product's durability. Still, a price tag of $14.95 plus $6.95 shipping and handling is probably cheaper than a trip to the emergency room.
Be careful out there people!
From the "As Seen on TV" website:
"WinterTrax patented SkidLock coil design will help you move about naturally with the same solid grip you are accustomed to on dry surfaces.
It provides 360 degrees of traction, side to side, front-back and backwards, giving you stability with each step as it grips the snow and ice.
This Tibetian inspired, spikeless design is made of durable steel coils coated with zinc chromate for rust prevention and a flexible polyelastomer material that easily stretches over most shoes and boots."

Editor's Note: The Tibetian reference got me to thinking how much better Hoboken politics would be if this movie themed sequel were to happen in real life:
