Marisel Prisella at Hoboken HIstorical Museum February 6, 2011 at 4PM- Talk on History of Chocolate
A Sweet History of...Chocolate!
With Valentine's around the corner, it seems like there's chocolate everywhere you look. But did you ever wonder how it became such a powerful cultural symbol - and beloved treat around the globe? Find out on Sunday, Feb. 6, as local restaurateur and chocolate scholar Maricel Presilla visits the Hoboken Museum to give a talk on the history of chocolate. And, she's offering a tasting of the delicious hot chocolate that has made her restaurants, Cucharamama and Zafra, and specialty food store, Ultramarinos, so popular.
The talk begins at 4 pm, and admission is a $5 donation, free for members. ◦
